How Swuupi works
Three steps stand between you and never paying full price again — and a growing toolkit around them: a live-data assistant, a Personal Shopper that hunts for you, and a deal engine watching the market every day.
- 01
Find your product
Paste the URL of any product page from a supported retailer — or browse our existing catalogue of tracked items. Swuupi reads the page, extracts the current price, and registers the product to your watchlist in seconds.
- Works with major all retailers
- GTIN / barcode detected automatically for cross-store matching
- Images, titles, and categories extracted from the product page
- 02
Set your alert
Tell us your email address and we do the rest. Our engine checks prices every single day and compares the live price against the product's peak price. The moment it drops, we fire an alert straight to your inbox.
- Email alerts the moment a price drops
- No app to install — just email
- Alerts include the current price, saving amount, and a direct buy link
- 03
Buy at the lowest price
Click the link in your alert email and land directly on the product at the retailer's current lowest price. No searching, no refreshing, no guesswork — just the right price at the right time.
- Direct links to the cheapest store for each product
- Price history chart shows the full drop pattern
- GTIN matching surfaces the same product across multiple stores
More than price alerts
Alerts are the core loop. Around them sits an engine that studies the market daily — and a chat assistant plus two shoppers that put it to work for you.
The Swuupi assistant
Chat with Swuupi in plain language — the green button in the corner, any page, any time. Under the hood, a supervisor routes every question to the right specialist: plan and pricing questions are answered from our live settings, product questions run structured searches against the live catalogue, and every link it gives you points to a page that actually exists.
- Prices and plan details come from live data, never from memory
- Product discovery searches the live catalogue and links straight to the product
- Grounded in Swuupi's own help content — when it doesn't know, it says so
- Stuck twice? It connects you to a human instead of guessing
Personal Shopper
No link? No problem. Describe what you're after in plain words and Swuupi sweeps live stores, search results and affiliate networks in under a minute, then hands back what it found. Nothing quite right? One press turns the same description into a background hunt that watches the market for days and emails you the moment a match lands. A Premium feature, built for the things you want but haven't found yet.
- Describe the item — no product URL needed
- A live sweep answers in under a minute, from across the market
- Not a match? The same search keeps hunting in the background
- Anything it finds lands on your watchlist with an email the moment it does
The deal engine
Everything above stands on the same foundation: an engine that logs prices chronologically, every day, across the stores that carry each product. It matches the same item across shops by GTIN/barcode, quarantines implausible price readings before they can distort a chart, and measures every live price against the product's own history — which is where the Buy and Wait verdicts come from.
- Daily, date-ordered price logs — never reshuffled to exaggerate a drop
- Cross-store matching by GTIN, so one product's chart covers every shop
- Implausible readings are quarantined to protect the fair-value anchor
- One shared verdict logic decides Buy vs Wait on every surface
Understanding the Data
How we track prices and decide when to buy.
Price Timelines & Projections
Your graph follows real dates, left to right — charting the lowest price we found across matching stores on each day. We never reorder it to make a drop look bigger than it was.
Solid line: prices we actually saw. Dotted line: our best guess at what the price did before we started watching. It's an estimate — never treat it as a real price.
How 'Wait' vs 'Buy' Works
Because our market logs are chronological, our checking logic can actively trace dynamic pricing movements over time.
BuyGreen ribbon: today's best price is below the product's fair value, so the window is open.
WaitAmber ribbon: the price is sitting above its recent low — history says a better entry point is coming.
You'll see this ribbon in the top-left corner of every product card, on the product page and in your watchlist — one badge, one claim, the same everywhere.
What's next
The roadmap, honestly stated: announced when it's being built, shipped when it's done.
Safari for iPhone & iPad
The extension is live on Chrome and Firefox. A Safari Web Extension for iOS and iPadOS is what we are packaging next, so the same one-click tracking works on the phone you actually shop from.
More regions
Price tracking in Sweden, Norway and Finland is on the roadmap, followed by the rest of Europe, the UK, and the US.
