Refund Policy
Last updated: September 16, 2026
This policy explains what you get back, and when, if you change your mind about a Swuupi Premium membership. It covers your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal as a consumer in the EU, what happens when you start using Premium straight away, and exactly how to ask us for a refund. It applies to every Premium purchase made through Swuupi.
1. What you are buying, and who from
Swuupi Premium is a digital subscription service. There is nothing to ship and nothing to return: the moment your payment clears, your account is upgraded and every Premium feature is available to you.
Our payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy, LLC is the merchant of record for your purchase, which means Lemon Squeezy — not Swuupi — issues the receipt, accounts for VAT and moves the money when a refund is approved. Your bank or card statement will show Lemon Squeezy rather than Swuupi. You can always raise a billing question with us directly; we approve the refund and Lemon Squeezy executes it.
This policy covers Premium memberships only. It does not cover anything you buy from a retailer after following a link from Swuupi — we are not a party to that purchase, and the retailer's own returns and refund policy governs it.
2. Your 14-day right of withdrawal
As a consumer in the EU you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days, without giving any reason. In Denmark this is your fortrydelsesret under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (forbrugeraftaleloven).
The 14 days run from the day the contract is concluded — the day you complete checkout and receive your order confirmation. This applies to your first purchase of a Premium membership and to each renewal that begins a new contract period.
You do not need to justify your decision, and we will not ask you to. You do need to tell us within the 14 days; see section 4 for how.
3. Starting Premium immediately, and what that means
Premium is supplied as soon as it is paid for. By completing checkout and using the service you expressly ask us to begin performance during the 14-day withdrawal period, and you acknowledge the consequence the law attaches to that request.
The consequence is proportionate, not all-or-nothing. If you withdraw within the 14 days after we have already begun supplying Premium, we may keep an amount proportionate to what was supplied up to the moment you told us, and we refund the rest. On a monthly cycle that is a small fraction of the price; on an annual cycle it is a very small one. In practice, if you withdraw within 14 days and have barely used the service, you should expect the large majority of what you paid back — and if you withdraw before using Premium at all, you get the full amount back.
If the service was never available to you — a failed upgrade, an account that never unlocked, a charge for a membership you never received — this section does not apply at all. That is a service failure, not a change of mind, and it is refunded in full.
4. How to request a refund
Send us a message through the Help Center contact form. A plain statement that you wish to withdraw is enough; there is no form to fill in and no template you have to use.
So that we can find the payment on the first attempt, please include the email address you used at checkout, the approximate date of the charge, and the Lemon Squeezy order or transaction reference from your receipt email if you still have it. None of these are conditions of your statutory right — they just let us act on your request the same day instead of writing back to ask.
We aim to answer every refund request within two business days and to approve or explain within five. An approved refund is returned by Lemon Squeezy to the original payment method; how quickly it appears is up to your bank or card issuer, and is typically between three and ten business days after we approve it. You will receive a refund confirmation from Lemon Squeezy when it is issued.
5. After the 14 days: cancel, don't wait for a refund
Once the withdrawal window has passed, a Premium membership is not refundable for the remainder of the period you have already paid for. This is the point of a prepaid cycle, and it is why the longer cycles cost less per month.
What you can do at any time, including on the last day of a period, is cancel. Cancellation is self-service in your account settings, takes effect at the end of the current period, and stops the next renewal charge. You keep every Premium feature until that period ends, and your tracked products, alerts and lists survive the return to the free tier.
We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months of use after the withdrawal window, and we do not refund a period you decided not to use. Nothing here limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law.
6. Renewal charges you did not expect
A Premium membership renews automatically until it is cancelled, and Lemon Squeezy emails you a receipt for every renewal. A renewal starts a new contract period, so the 14-day right of withdrawal in section 2 applies to it in the same way it applied to your first purchase.
If you were charged for a renewal you meant to cancel, tell us. Contact us as soon as you notice it, and we will look at when the charge was taken and what use was made of the service afterwards before deciding what we can return. Please come to us before asking your bank to reverse the charge — a chargeback locks the payment while it is investigated, which usually means it takes longer to resolve than simply asking us would have.
7. Where this policy does not reach
The free tier costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund. You can stop using it whenever you like and delete your account from your account settings.
Purchases you make at a retailer after clicking a link on Swuupi are between you and that retailer. We may earn an affiliate commission on them, which costs you nothing and gives us no part in the sale: we cannot cancel, return or refund an order placed at another shop. Use that retailer's own returns process, and their own statutory withdrawal period, which runs separately from ours.
We also cannot refund a price you did not get. Swuupi reports what retailers publish; if a price moves, sells out, or turns out to be an error the retailer will not honour, that is a matter for the retailer, and our Terms of Service explain why in more detail.
8. Still unsure?
Most billing questions — what a cycle costs, when the next charge falls, how to cancel — are answered in our FAQ. Anything the FAQ does not cover, or anything specific to your own account, goes to the Help Center and reaches a person.
